About Me

Hi, I Am Meredith Johnston

I’m a Mum of 4 daughters living in the picturesque town of Willunga, South Australia, where our beautiful blended family thrives.

Our two eldest girls live with their Mum not too far from us. I’ve been blessed and thankful to have been a part of their lives since they were aged 9 and 1. They have grown into amazing individuals, now 22 and 15 years old!

Our two younger daughters, aged 9 and 12, keep our home full of noise, laughter and love. Yes, all girls – lucky Dadda!

One of my greatest passions in life is singing! I’ve been a professional singer for most of my adult life, and after studying Cert IV and Diploma in Music Performance, I had the privilege of playing in bands performing both original music and cover songs. I then worked as a solo performer up until I gave birth to my first baby.

With my new baby, I found solace and joy in reconnecting with songs from my childhood, discovering new ones and writing some of my own. As my children grew, I curated a collection of songs to help me manage all manner of tasks and make our days more enjoyable.

Singing has always been an integral part of my life, thanks to my mother, who often serenaded me as a child. Her melodic lullabies and playful tunes nurtured my understanding of sound and pitch. I’ve come to realize that not every parent feels confident to be their child’s first singing teacher.

Now, my heart’s desire is to inspire and support parents like you to embrace the joy of singing with your young ones. Let’s bring the enchanting world of melodies into your home and your hearts.

I look forward to embarking on this musical journey with you, filled with love, laughter, and the magic of song!

What can you learn from me?

Songs to bring calm, joy and relief for you and your child throughout the day.

The following clip shows me singing ‘We make new friends’ with my daughters.

Lessons always work best with lots of movement involved – Here I’ve given no direction just leaving the girls to their own interpretive dance 🙂

I’m blending in ‘call and response’ techniques to build into a ’round’.
